Artful living. Quiet making. Poetry in the every day.
As you explore my site, step inside, get curious, and join me in weaving a life where creativity, care, and personal expression meet sustainable action.
Poetry in the every day.
Welcome — I’m Stella Peg Carruthers, a creative practitioner, textile artist and writer dedicated to gentle, sustainable living. I believe that small acts of creativity and conscious choice can spark meaningful change, and I’m passionate about sharing low-waste, resourceful ways of making and living.
Through hands-on workshops, community learning, and everyday DIY practices, I help people slow down, reconnect with craft and explore how mindful making can nurture both personal well-being and the planet. I am also interested in exploring the stories we tell about ourselves and the world and the impact these narratives can have on who we are and who we become.
Alongside my creative teaching and textile practice, I work with words — heartfelt romance, lyrical poetry, and contemplative creative non-fiction — exploring themes of belonging, transformation, and the beauty found in the everyday. My work is rooted in curiosity, ethical living, and the quiet power of creativity to reshape how we dwell in the world.
